An Urban Rest Stop is a stand-alone building where the homeless can go and take a shower, wash their clothes, and store some items for a short time in a safe environment at no charge.

The Urban Rest Stop idea started in Seattle, WA., after a study concluded that there were not enough public restrooms in the city and none that met the need of the homeless population for a place to properly wash, something that many of us take for granted each day.

Clean, well-fitting socks are a vital part of keeping feet healthy!  Proper socks can provide a simple, but important layer of protection between life-threatening  hypothermia, bacterial and fungal infections, cuts, and poor circulation. 

We work hard to provide our cities' homeless with the basic essentials that anyone would need in life especially living on the Florida streets. These essentials include socks, razors, deodorant, mosquito bands, feminine hygiene products, foot powder and sunscreen wipes, soap, shampoo and conditioner, rain gear, and, of course, blankets!

While many of us take shelter during storms for granted this is a tremendous need for our cities' Homeless. Your donations of goods or money will help us keep the promise to provide for the people that we can.
